Participation in the event is limited to classic cars featured in the film and to the real star of the show ...... the MINI. Rather than benefiting themselves the new Self Preservation Society raises money for Children's Charities.How is it done?
By driving 2000 miles (and then some) to an Italian Region and stealing (legally of course) as much Gold of the Liquid Variety - the local WINE - as possible. The event includes: driving off the beaten track, navigational rally, autotest, driving skills tests, and specially hosted visits.When does it happen?
Each year, normally at the end of October spilling over into the first few days of November.Dates for 2007 are to be confirmed. Why does it happen?
